Resolution is a community of family justice professionals including solicitors who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way.

A better way
Resolution was founded in 1982 by a group of family lawyers who believed that a non-confrontational approach to family law issues would produce better outcomes for separating families and their children.
Here at Risdon Hosegood our Family Law specialists are members of Resolution and strive to achieve the code of practice in a constructive way by:
listening to what you feel is important,
being open and honest about what can realistically be achieved, and
by ensuring that all our clients are clear about the likely outcomes at the start of each matter to enable each client to make informed decisions with our help and guidance.
This year, Good Divorce Week takes place from 29 Nov to the 3 Dec when we help families to embrace a child-focused approach to separation which will help minimise conflict to assist parties and their families achieve the best outcome for the entire family. This includes the divorce, the financial aspects and of course, the children.
It is really hard for people to focus on the future when they are so worried about the immediate effects of divorce and separation on their children and their finances and their individual abilities to provide for their family. However, parents are going to be tied together through their children for years to come and it is so much better for the children to see their parents getting on rather than being at logger heads and fighting.
We try to help our clients see the world of divorce through the eyes of their children and to limit the damage to them during the transition from living with both parents in one place to living with both parents in different places. Each can have its benefits.
If you would like any further information relating to divorce, separation, children or finances please do call our family team on 01823 251571 and ask to speak to either Amanda or Kris.
